Aim:To investigate the differentially expressed signal pathway molecules in thymic tissue of patients with myasthenia gravis(MG)and their relationship with the pathological progress.Methods:The total RNA from thymic tissue of MG patients and controls was extracted using Trizol reagent. The gene chip of human signal transduction pathway finder was used. The differences of gene expression between MG group and control group were compared. Among the different genes,three genes were selected for validation by qRT-PCR.Results:Gene chip results showed that there were 22 differentially expressed genes in thymus tissue between MG patients and controls, the mRNA expressions of 18 genes(SOCS3,IRF1,HES1,FOSL1,EMP1,GADD45B,ADM,SERPINE1,etc)were significantly increased in MG patients,and 4 genes were decreased. The results of qRT-PCR were consistent with those of the gene chip.Conclusions:The abnormal expression of multiple signal pathway molecules in thymic tissue of MG patients involves some kinds of signaling pathways,which may be associated with the pathogenesis of the disease.
