摘要:
目的:比较双张量无损卡尔曼滤波纤维束示踪技术(UKFT)与传统单张量线性纤维束示踪技术(ST)重建正常人群弓状束(AF)的成像效果。方法:选取20例正常受试者行DTI成像,分别应用单张量ST和双张量UKFT技术重建左侧AF,包括直接通路“颞-额”段(深支),间接通路“额-顶”段(前支)和“颞-顶”段(后支),采用解剖形态比对和纤维束定量的方法研究两种技术AF显像的差异。结果:应用单张量ST技术重建左侧AF时,12例深支、2例前支和1例后支显像不完整或失败; 而应用双张量UKFT技术重建时,三个分支在所有受试者中均成功完整显像,且终端分支纤维显示更完整,分布面积更广,纤维体积更大,条数更多(P<0.001)。结论:与传统单张量ST相比,双张量UKFT技术在正常人群中可以重建出更加完整的AF。
Abstract:
Aim:To compare the performance of two different tractography algorithms, two-tensor unscented Kalman filter tractography(UKFT)and traditional single-tensor streamline tractography(ST), in reconstruction of arcuate fasciculus(AF)of healthy adults.Methods:In a sample of 20 healthy subjects, diffusion tensor imaging(DTI)was scanned. For each subject, the single-tensor ST and two-tensor UKFT were respectively applied to reconstruct the direct long temporal-frontal segment, anterior frontal-parietal segment and posterior temporal-parietal segment of the left AF.Results from the two different tractography algorithms were compared visually and quantitatively.Results:Single-tensor ST failed to completely reconstruct the long segment of AF in 12 cases, the anterior segment in 2 cases and the posterior segment in 1 case. While two-tensor UKFT was able to successfully trace the three segments of AF in all cases, and both the rostral and caudal terminations of AF distributed more widely and the branching fibers seemed more intact. The volumes and fiber numbers of the long, anterior and posterior segments of the left AF by two-tensor UKFT were significantly larger than those by single-tensor ST(all P<0.001).Conclusion:Compared with traditional single-tensor ST, two-tensor UKFT could achieve better fiber reconstruction of AF in healthy subjects.
